A great deal of my thought on such subjects forms around Newton's Second Law: Energy can neither be created or destroyed, it can only be transformed.

That being the case, there is no optimal form, except for adapting to gravity, and the nearness or farness of a star. We claim to be conscious, but since we are ultimately a from of energy, that will be transformed through both age and death, we have to pay some attention to consciousness. If we have it, which is a bunch of energy, being conscious, then why should any other form of energy not be conscious? If it is, then the total consciousness of the Universe is what people call God or for me the Creator. Which leaves me being intimately entwined with that and always a part of that, either alive or dead.

Other minds may well differ, but that works for me.

Great write up.
