Am assuming they would be classified as Neanderthal. Recently read an article, telling about a Neanderthal group’s burial area. One of the graves belonged to a child 8 to 15, who suffered from Down’s syndrome. To keep such a child alive for that long, it was thought, that the entire group would have had to help, given the amount of care required.
The more I read about how the Neanderthals seemed to have lived, the more it seems our kindness, and family or tribal sense came from them.
