Am looking at the face in the mirror, at a painting I might never see in life. What strikes me most is that the pale skin on the body is belied by the reddish skin on the face and the darkening around the eye. Could that be a black eye? It changes the view entirely.

Your questions and perspective are always very much appreciated, keeping an open mind towards a picture is not always easy.
