Artists are not nearly anything we would call "normal" as a rule. If they were, they would not be artists.

Whether in theater, music, painting, et.al., artists are or at least tend to be at extremes to everyone anywhere near the middle(normal).

This does not justify what he did, but that aside his art is great art and deserves to be seen and recognized for what he achieved and the beauty that was created, at a price, both personal and interrealtional with others.
