As a child, I decided when my meal was through.
It meant sitting at the table, until it was eaten, instead I eventually fell asleep and was carried to bed. As an adult I see no need to eat anything on my plate that I didn’t put there. The same goes at restaurants.
As for drinking, I enjoy a nice liqueur, to sip gradually. Usually maybe once a week. Sometimes more often as equally as far less often.
There is a real difference between something to occasionally enjoy and something one mistakenly believes they need.
Going along to get along is not my way. People either accept me as I am or not. Have found life works much easier this way.
Keep banging the drum, some may actually hear you and try another way.
