What is important is life, its balance, its health, and continuation. That applies to all, while am a somewhat vegetarian but not a vegan, I try to limit what I eat that was alive.

We are but a speck of life that sooner or later will either evolve or die out. Keeping other life on earth is as important as our own form of life.
