Children, people know what they want to learn, is a basic belief of mine. There is a basic need for some fundamentals, such as math, and reading. Once they know how to do both, let them loose and see where they go. They are better steerers of their futures than we will ever be.

My son got out of high school, on a proficiency exam at 16, same as a GED, but can happen from 16 onward. Twenty plus years later, he is still steering his own course.
