For those who disparage Napoleon, he set in place, the current law system of most of continental Europe. He ended all ghettos across Europe. He freed all slaves.
Any person can be better, a lot of what he achieved made it better and possible for the poor, the working class, and those discriminated against to live far better than they had.
It does help to look at the whole person and not just the warts.
