From my reading of history, came across what Franklin Roosevelt had intended for Germany, after the war. It was to be divided into four sections, but the entire northern section, including all of Berlin, was to be the U.S. sector. U.S. forces would be on the Polish border, that would have changed much, whether for the better or worse, we will never know. The maps were drawn, but nobody knew of them when Truman went to Potsdam, due to Roosevelt’s refusal to give Truman any information of what was going on. So Stalin, having shown up with maps, got the division he wanted.
After Franklin Roosevelt, Eisenhower managed an average of 55% popularity, Kennedy managed an average of 70%, for his three years. No other president since World War II has managed above 50% for their time in office.
