Had three years of hospital schools, and most of one year of home school, provided by the district, from k-6. Really liked my homeschooling experience. It allowed me, as did the hospital schools, to go as fast or as slow as was needed by me. Normal school was just not what was wanted but back in the day, home schooling was rare, and to my knowledge unknown.

Children learn fairly easily if it can be made into something that makes sense to them. While not a college professor, have been a paralegal, a real estate agent, an electronic engineering associate, hotel manager, and professional astrologer and tarot card reader.

Letting the kid lead the way is a lot easier than forcing them into a rote pattern. Kids are capable, everyone on Medium used to be one.
