In Buddhism, there is the realm of the Gods, assuming one has enough good karma to get there. One has all the most wonderful foods, time for learning to display flowers, plenty of time for sex, making or listening to music, but until death approaches, it is trouble free.

Even the gods die, eventually.

As death approaches they recognize the waste of a life, instead of doing something for someone else, they were just absorbed in themselves and their pleasures.

For all the ease, it produced nothing lasting.
