In your last section, "A Better Alternative", would change the phrasing from God cannot, to God does not. God by nature can interfere but chooses not to, as you strongly suggest. Nonetheless, have had enough happen in my life that has been unmistakably not standard events, so sometimes the rules can be if not changed, the hard edges rubbed a bit, to allow something else to take place.
