It does not help a conservation for one party to tell the other your wrong. American Exceptionalism has nothing to do with it, period. Any nation that allowed a profit for a set period of time, then put the product on the open market, could and would do the same.
The medications that have kept me alive have been American, but I wouldn’t care where they originated, so long as they work.
At every step for my first 21 years, they were life savers. Having spent about three and a half years in hospitals between four and twelve, I know something about the absolute need for new and better medicines.
To me for cost there is insurance, and after rent and food that came next. Did it limit me, but was alive and able to be free of hospitalization, mostly.
I want new drugs on the market and capitalism so far has proved best at that.
