My dad used to say, if you love your work, it is no longer work.

The balance between passion and necessity, come down for me, to working between two seemingly irreconcilable thoughts.

Live each day as if you are to live to a 120, and

Live each day as if you are to die before midnight.

That will show one their true passion as well the value of their present choices along the way.

The problem with implementing it is few, if any, want to think about the fact of their death.
