My example was to a select few cases where the NHS did not offer the care the child needed either before or after birth, due entirely to costs. Nor would they allow the child to leave Britain for care elsewhere, as that would create an exception to the rules, and the NHS, covers all equally.
Was not talking about childbirth, but about the health of the child being born. Granted only had one example, from a niece, but the exception often proves the point.
