One can create a set of values for one’s self, to live by. Those alone will be yours. Others may emulate them or decry them, that is their right.
What it seems you are looking for is a set standard that all or most can agree upon.
For me, simply having people treat each other with the same respect and dignity, that they would want is a start, with no guarantees that anyone else will do the same.
Getting to that point will be difficult enough, but we need to start somewhere.
Living by what is meaningful to you is a beginning. Having friends and family acknowledge it, which does not imply acceptance, while letting them be who they are, may be the only way to move forward, both for you and all or any others.
Good luck.
