Perhaps Descartes got it wrong. I think therefore I am. Perhaps it is more correct to say I think therefore there are thoughts, no individual I is needed.
The universe was a singularity before the big bang and remains a singularity, with everything connected and a part of it.
Given that is an individual self even possible?
