Quite agree with you, in essence. Can remember one night, resting on Mount Tamalpais, being thoroughly stoned, and thinking quite seriously, about where it would suit me to live. What sort of environment was required, what views, how near to town, what about water, and a number of other requirements. Some years later, less than 10, met a woman, married her, and thus came by a residence that included everything that was dreamt up and more.
You are quite right, magick can be done anywhere, with or without ritual. Having studied Crowley, quite thoroughly, agree with his basic premise:
Do What Thou Wilt Is the Whole of the Law
Love is the Law
Love under Will
and my corollary There is no Will without Loving. So long as loving is the way forward, all is possible, and even more is granted. Do things only for one’s self eventually leads to a living hell. Have seen it more than once, with a friend who has used Magick only for a selfish use. The results, usually show up within a decade or two. One can do anything one wants for one’s self, providing it is what one really wants and loves. One is not allowed to do anything to anyone without their consent, it just does not work well. At least that has been my experience, yours may vary.
