Perhaps demanding our wants is nearer to the truth. Our needs are few, food, clothing, shelter, some one to be with, some hope for the future, everything else is extra. Our wants are endless.
Peace, at least for me, is not a place to get to, rather it is a space to live within and carry with one. It is at least partially obtained by limiting one’s wants and being grateful for what is around one. That there is always enough, it might not be lavish, but it is enough.
