Robert Graves was very upset by the reaction to I Claudius, that he wrote Claudius the God, as a sequel, complete with sources for everything. If you have read Tacitus or Suetonius, you will find much of what he drew on. These were not his only sources, but having read them from information provided by Claudius the God, can vouch for at least these two sources.
