Stanley Kubrick use of music in his movies almost made it another character affecting the action as well as one’s response to the scene.
Western music has a very similar effect the world over. Am Aborigines response to a piece of classical music or Tim pan alley elicits the same reaction on the heart and blood pressure. What ever the West created in this form of music is easily understood worldwide.

Am unaware of other cultures music doing the same, which is not to say it doesn’t, just that I am unaware of it.
Music moves me much more. Has since early childhood, at 4 or 5 had a set idea of what was more musically interesting, from the lyrics, even if I was to young to ascertain their meaning, to the music itself which opened up vistas that pictures rarely do.
