The only way that made sense to me, in dealing with loss, was to realize the pain is only there, because they were loved, and they loved me. If I had never known them, there would be no pain. Given that, the pain was much easier to accept, like a badge of honor, for having them in my life.

Love is not something one gets over, like a cold or the flu, but in one's own time, at one's own pace, one does learn how to move on, together with not forgetting.
