Was a smoker, then quit, and within six months was smoking more. Discovered, again, that saying no to myself did not work. Saying yes, go for it did. So changed the view, would only allow myself to smoke, if there was conscious awareness that, yes, am smoking, and yes, am enjoying it. If either or both were absent, the cigarette was put out. After all, why do something one is completely unaware of what one is doing, and if one is doing it, should it not be enjoyable?
