Well stated. The problem is that evil is, at least in my view, meant as a prod towards compassion. With out seeing the sick, the old, the dying, how many of us would ever develop a desire to help, to aide, to witness what another was going through, when a good time could be had by being self obsessed with pleasure and a good time.
We would be little different from the Gods of Hinduism. Living in luxury, endless sex, pleasant views, youth and health. A wasted life, of only good things till death destroys one’s looks, health, one is left alone, what god would want to be around such a one, at such a time.
Evil if it is in God’s power to end it, then as its creation, it is also in ours.
