What part of my first response that said neither those with religion or those not had the right to inflict or impose their views on the other did you not read.

Until the First Amendment is either repealed or amended, the phrase “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…” is the law of the law. No sharia form of any religion is possible under our system of government. Neither is any repression of religion allowed. So we must tolerate Jehovah Witnesses’ and others that come proselytizing around us, though we can send them away.

As for agitating for state or Federal laws, that is called lobbying, is also guaranteed by the First Amendment: “…or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”. You grievance may not be mine and vice versa, that does not rule out mine or your right to petition the Government for what we see as the right way of having the Government work.
