What Trump lacks is abiding attention and follow thru. He talks big, but supposed it is only bullshitting? Playing to the crowd? He is a showman first and foremost. As for budding up to Putin and friends, Machiavelli taught, keep your friends close and your enemies closer and it is better to be feared than loved. Am not saying that has been his position but it does work for a lot of what he does and says.
