While I appreciate the difference between what Leonardo achieve versus the examples of Castagno and Botticelli, you used. They only used tempura while Leonardo used both tempura and oil, how much did that aid his depictions and are there any other contemporary examples to compare him to that used both oil and tempura? Thank you for any response, am not an artist, but here and there do wonder about apples to apples.
